Organic Cold-Pressed Moroccan Argan Oil Duo — Buy 2 & Save

Two bottles of our USDA Organic cold-pressed Moroccan argan oil at a saving — for your daily hair, skin, and nail ritual, or to share with someone you'd like to introduce to the world's original "liquid gold".

Each bottle is the same premium product as our 30ml single: USDA Organic certified, cold-pressed from the kernels of the argan tree (Argania spinosa) grown in southwestern Morocco — the only region in the world where this slow-growing tree thrives — and bottled by Love Organics in Australia. Single-ingredient. No fillers. No fragrance. Free shipping over $120.

Approximately 30kg of argan kernels — about one tree's entire yearly yield — and nearly two days of careful hand-pressing are required to produce a single litre of cold-pressed argan oil. That's a remarkable amount of labour behind each bottle of this duo.

Argan (Argania spinosa) is a slow-growing tree that thrives almost exclusively in the arid lands of southwestern Morocco — in a UNESCO-protected biosphere reserve where it has held cultural and ecological significance for centuries. The Amazigh (Berber) people, particularly women's cooperatives, have produced argan oil traditionally for generations.

Our argan is sourced from USDA-certified organic growers in Morocco. The fruit is harvested when it falls naturally from the tree, the outer flesh is removed, and the hard nut is cracked open to reveal the kernels inside. The kernels are then cold-pressed at low temperatures to preserve the oil's full vitamin E and fatty acid profile.

The finished oil is imported and bottled by Love Organics in Australia. Each batch is single-origin and traceable from cooperative to bottle. The oil's golden-yellow colour and characteristic nutty aroma are the signs of an unrefined, cold-pressed cosmetic-grade argan oil.

USDA Organic Certified — Independent third-party certification verifies the argan is grown and processed without synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or fertilisers.

Moroccan Origin — The argan tree (Argania spinosa) grows almost exclusively in southwestern Morocco, in a UNESCO-protected biosphere reserve. The fruit is harvested seasonally by Amazigh (Berber) communities, who have been producing argan oil traditionally for centuries.

Cold-Pressed from Argan Kernels — Argan oil is technically a kernel oil — pressed from the kernels found inside the nut of the argan fruit. Our oil is cold-pressed below 40°C, never solvent-extracted, preserving the oil's natural vitamin E content and characteristic golden colour.

Is argan oil a seed oil?

Technically no — argan oil is a kernel oil. The argan tree fruit contains a hard nut, and inside each nut are one to three kernels. Argan oil is pressed from these kernels. While many people refer to it loosely as a "seed oil", the correct botanical classification is kernel oil. The INCI name (used in cosmetic ingredient lists) is Argania spinosa kernel oil.

Where does the best argan oil come from?

Argan only grows commercially in southwestern Morocco, in a UNESCO-protected biosphere reserve. Genuine argan oil is by definition Moroccan — there is no other commercial source. Quality varies by region, cooperative, and extraction method, with cold-pressed cosmetic-grade argan oil from Berber women's cooperatives widely considered the gold standard.

Why is argan oil so expensive?

Approximately 30kg of argan kernels — about one tree's entire yearly yield — and nearly two days of careful labour are required to produce a single litre of cold-pressed argan oil. The kernels must be hand-cracked from the hard argan nut, and the slow-growing nature of the tree means supply is naturally limited. This is why argan oil has been called "liquid gold" for centuries.

What's the difference between cosmetic argan oil and culinary argan oil?

Cosmetic argan oil is cold-pressed from raw kernels and used for skin, hair, and nail care. Culinary argan oil (used in Moroccan cooking) is made from kernels that have been lightly roasted first, giving it a nuttier flavour and darker colour. Our argan oil is cosmetic-grade — not for culinary use.

Is argan oil good for sensitive skin?

Argan oil is single-ingredient with no synthetic fragrance, preservatives, or carrier oils. It has a comedogenic rating of 0 (won't clog pores) and is generally well-tolerated. Always patch test new oils before regular use.

Can I use argan oil on my hair every day?

Yes. Many customers use a few drops daily — typically on damp or dry ends, avoiding the scalp if hair tends to oiliness. A little goes a long way; over-application can leave hair feeling weighed down.

Is Argan Oil good for acne-prone skin?

Argan Oil is lightweight and non-comedogenic, making it suitable for blemish-prone skin. Its naturally balancing and soothing properties can help support a clearer, more even-looking complexion.

Can Argan Oil help with visible signs of ageing?

Argan Oil is rich in antioxidants, including vitamin E, which can help improve the appearance of skin elasticity, smoothness, and hydration, softening the look of fine lines and promoting a youthful-looking glow.

How often should I use Argan Oil on my hair?

Usage depends on your hair type. For general conditioning, 1–2 times a week may be sufficient. For dry or damaged hair, more frequent use can help restore softness, shine, and manageability.

Can Argan Oil be used on nails?

Yes, Argan Oil is often used to help nourish dry cuticles and support strong, healthy-looking nails. Massage a small amount into nails and cuticles to improve moisture and shine.

Where can I buy argan oil in Australia?

Cosmetic-grade cold-pressed argan oil isn't typically stocked in major Australian supermarkets. Love Organics ships Australia-wide direct from our Sydney facility, with free shipping on orders over $120.
