Our story
We’re Pete and Tim Grut, the brothers behind Love Organics. We share a love of travel and natural products and an interest in the people who grow them and a straightforward belief: you deserve to know where your products come from.
The story reaches back to 1975, when Mel and Dave Dane began their work with plant oils in Byron Bay. They grew plants themselves and built relationships with growers and producers, paying attention to where each oil came from and how it was made.
Their friendship with Pete grew through a shared interest in plants and oils. In time, Mel and Dave passed the brand to Pete and Tim. Today, we carry on that work as an independent, family-owned business connected to the same region.
We source every oil directly from a grower or presser visited by Tim, Mel or Dave. That’s the kind of detail we believe you should know about what you’re buying.
We look to nature when choosing products for our range, seeking out plant oils for everyday skin and body care. Each choice starts with what the plant offers and how you can use it.
Our products come in glass bottles. We use wooden lids across all of the range, with plastic components where needed in the closures, droppers and mist sprayer.
For us, love means caring about the plants, the people who grow them and the person opening the bottle.
It also means being useful to you. Sharing what we know, speaking plainly and giving you room to make your own choices. That’s the relationship we want to build with everyone who finds us.
